One-to-one communication – email – dominated the early Internet. Web technology issued in a new Net era of one-to-many communication, where a single Web server could broadcast information to millions. Now as the next-generation or “New” Net unfolds, users around the world are tapping into many sources and platforms – social media, vast databases, cloud computing, intricate mobile devices, storage systems, Web 2.0 – to collaborate many-to-many, creating entirely new Net-based entities.
But can you make money that way?
Join us for an informal, lively conversation on the new business models arising on the next-generation Net and whether these models will finally begin to generate the revenue so many Net investors have predicted for so long.
